Where can I practice white river rafting in Costa Rica?
If you are experienced at rafting you might want to consider taking our Tenorio River white water rafting class III-IV tour. The Pozo Azul section of the Tenorio River will definitely put your lust for adrenaline to the test. This thrilling 8 mile white water rafting includes class III-IV rapids with twists, turns and drops for about 2 hours down the Tenorio River located close to the city of Cañas. For those with less experience, we recommend the Colorado Rafting tour, offering class I-II rafting down the Colorado River.
Are there any good trails where one could practice mountain biking?
We offer two mountain biking tours in Liberia City. The easy to moderate tour is an easy ride for beginners or families through the historical Calle Real south of Liberia City. The ride starts right in downtown Liberia, then heading south down Calle Real and after a 7 mile ride you will come back into town through a different just as enjoyable route.
Then there’s the moderate to intermediate tour for advanced bikers, taking you to the most northern ranges surrounding Liberia City. This longer, 25 mile route includes 1600 feet of elevation change and goes through canyon trails and limestone mountain tracks formed by massive volcanic eruptions over 10.000 years ago.
