Guanacaste is a province located in the northwestern region of Costa Rica, along the coast of the Pacific Ocean. It borders Nicaragua to the north, Alajuela Province to the east and Puntaneras Province to the southeast. You can visit Palo Verde National Park, which is among the most important nesting, reproducing and feeding sites for either migrant or resident birds in the country and one of the most amazing places to appreciate Costa Rica’s biodiversity. This expedition will begin with a relaxing boat cruise along the Tempisque River surrounded by the national park. You could also visit La Ponderosa Adventure Park. This natural private reserve boasts of a select collection of exotic African animals in a non disturbing African savannah-like environment.
