Hola Rigo, Well, you have done it again. We truly were amazed again at the reliability and promptness of your tour bus drivers and guides once again. On our recent trip to Costa Rica we had prebooked a couple of trips with 3 Monkies Tours Costa Rica as well as a transfer for 7 of us from the Liberia Airport to our place in Nosara. Each time the bus was on time, actually several minutes early, so we did not have to worry about being late getting started on our tours.
Our trip of 7 persons to Nicaragua was absolutely delightful. We felt totally safe and relaxed as the tour guide, Lorens, worked us through the customs/immigration proceedings at the Nicaragua border. He was very informative about both countries, Costa Rica as well as Nicaragua, explaining everything from the history to wildlife and fauna. Grenada is a "must see" when going to Nicaragua...ancient buildings to traditional Ox cart driven transportation for the locals taking their wares to market etc. Unmatched were the tours of the volcanoes "Mumbacho"and "Masaya" and the Masaya market. The Colonial Hotel and meals were also incredible.
Then there was the tour for 4 of us from San Jose to Arenal. Again the tour guide/driver, Minor, explained about all the history as well as all the plants, trees and the vegetation grown by local farmers we encountered on our beautiful drive through the mountains and hills/valleys to La Fortuna. During our tour we saw the La Fortuna waterfalls as well as the Hot Springs at the Baldi Resort. Again our stay at the Hotel Paraiso and meals were great.
We can't wait to get back to Costa Rica and look forward to new adventures and tours to take so that we can use your great services again. Muchas gracias for a successful vacation.

I first met Rigo Hernandez Cortes of the 3 Monkies Tours Costa Rica Travel Company when he was working for another tour operator in 2001 when I took my oldest son to Costa Rica after he finished the 6th grade. We became friends during the one week trip and stayed in touch over the next three years by e-mail.
This past June (2004), I took my middle son for a trip to Costa Rica after he finished the 6th grade. Rigo met us at the airport and took us on the trip of a lifetime over the course of a week. Horseback riding, hiking, a canopy tour, surfing, swimming, shopping, site-seeing, and white water rafting were just some of the highlights of our trip. But, the best part was having an opportunity to spend time with Rigo, and renewing our friendship.
Rigo is obviously well-educated and can identify just about every plant or animal you might encounter in Costa Rica but he is much more than just an ecotourism expert. He is a warm and friendly guy that you and your family will enjoy. He has a great sense of humor and just about anyone would feel comfortable with him.
He has my complete trust and I have felt completely secure on the two trips that I have taken with him. I consider him to be like a "guardian angel" who has taken good care of me and my two sons on these two trips. My sons and I have never felt like customers with him. Rather, he has always treated us like family. We have invited him to visit with us in South Carolina and he still has an open invitation. When my youngest son finishes the 6th grade next year, he will have his opportunity to meet Rigo in June 2005.
